Meeting Shay (post 6)

Shay and Tally meet at the banks of the river,where the bridge is. Shay shows Tally her board and teaches her how to use it. They talk about why they went into new pretty town, how they were the youngest and therefor, left behind. They become fast Friends.

Shay is a spunky girl who won't take no for an answer. she has a lot of tricks up her sleeve. She seems to be the kind Friend that Tally is. She seems to have a lot in common with Tally. I think her and Tally will get into some kind of trouble because there both so curious.

Bungee Jumping and Quick Getaway's (post 5)

I think they advocate bungee jumping because its fun and thrilling and it seems exciting and perfect.


Bungee Jumping: In the 1950's David Attenborough and a BBC film crew brought back footage of the land divers of Pentecost Island in Vanuatu. Young men who jumped from tall wooden platforms with vines tied to their ancles as a test of courage and a passage to manhood. A similar practice only with a much slower pace for falling, has been practiced as the Danza de los Voaladores de Palanta or tha Papalanta Fliers of central Mexico. This is a tradition dating back to the days of the Aztecs.

Best Freinds Forever....... Or Are They? (post 4)

Tally is a girl who likes to have fun. She is very focused on task. When she sets er mind to something, she can fulfill it. She is a loyal and truthful Friend who would do anything for Peris, and she seems to have a crush on Peris.

Peris is a guy who seems kind of lazy. He doesn't seem like he is very interested in Tally besides the fact that they are Friends. He doesn't seem like a loyal, true blue, to the end Friend.


I think that they were Friends before Peris turned pretty. But now that Peris is pretty I think he thinks he's better than Tally. I think that he's kind of repulsed by her normalness. In Tally's mind, she would do anything for him, even risk going in to pretty town. But Peris wouldn't do that for Tally i think.

My "ironic" quote:

Tally chose to wear the mask because she was still an Ugly, and if there Petty's had seen her, she would have been caught.

Mask's have been used since antiquity in different ceremonies all around the world. They are used in African religious ceremonies and are often used in America for entertainment purposes. The Chinese use mask's to celebrate on different holidays. This related to Tally's decision because she needed to hide herself from the prettys and a mask would hide her face.

A Freind Long Gone ( post 2)

Once, I had a Friend named heather. She was one of my best Friends. Her dads job was going to transfer them to a new state. We were both really sad, but she promised to stay in touch. She gave me what would be her new phone number, and said goodbye. I tried calling her a couple days later, but the recorded voice said that the number didn't exist. We tried to get a hold of her over and over, but she wouldn't answer.

"Pretty Town" terms:

1. Interface ring: a ring that shows your presence to technology.

2.Toothbrush pill: a pill that works like a toothbrush.

3.Cacophony: a loud and ugly sound.

Before You Read.... (post 1)

How do you define beautiful? Beauty I think is something that makes you happy. I think that if it's something you really enjoy, then its beautiful in your eyes.

What would the world be like if everyone were beautiful? No one would truly have beauty if everyone were beautiful. It would be very boring.
